There are multiple uses for the Accordion Envelope Book. This format can be used for:
- Keeping notes and cards from loved ones
- Travel keepsakes such as postcards and museum tickets
- Diary of a trip – with photographs and memories written on the back
- Note cards that are slipped into each envelope with special memories or favorite sayings
- Parties (birthday, wedding, retirement or going away party) – have each guest fill out a card for the special guest
You will need:
- Envelopes (any size) – choose how many you want
- Glue
- Paper to slide into the envelopes – get creative – stationery, index cards, post cards, photos, etc.
- Optional: 1 Ribbon to hold the book closed (Cut the ribbon long enough to wrap around the envelopes and tie into a bow)
Directions:
- Open the envelope flap, apply glue to the inside of the flap (Glue sticks are easy for children to use)
- Attach the flap to back side of another envelope, leaving a tiny space so that flap can slightly wrap around the envelope when closed into a book
- Continue until all of the envelopes are glued together
- Fold like an accordion
- On the last envelope, glue the ribbon on the front of the envelope, across the middle
